Approve Attestation Submitted Punch

This job aid explains how you can review and approve edited punches submitted by your employees.

About Employee Timecard Corrections

  1. The employee records In or Out Punch.
  2. The system will notify him/her if a missed punch or exception is present in the timecard.
  3. Employees are directed to correct the timecard.
  4. Once fixed, you will be notified to review and approve it.

To approve employee timecard corrections from the Control Center:

  1. Click the bell iconto open the the Control Center panel.
  2. Select View All to open the Control Center page.
  3. Select the Timekeeping Requests category within the Control Center page, then select the check box next to the missed punch correction (or edit).
  4. For each timecard change request, select one of the following:
    • Approve — After you approve the request, the approval is listed in the employee's Control Center and the edit is visible in the employee's timecard.
    • Refuse — After you refuse the request, the refusal is listed in the employee's Control Center and the edit is not visible in the employee's timecard.
  5. Go To — Opens the selected employee timecard with the Pending Changes panel open so you can act on the request from the employee’s timecard.

Once a selection is made, the timecard will be saved, and you will no longer see any exceptions displayed in the timecard based on the employee requested changes.

To approve employee timecard corrections from the timecard:

  1. In the Timekeeping Requests category within Control Center, select the notification of a missed punch correction (or edit).
  2. Select the Go To icon to launch the employee’s timecard. The Pending Changes slider will automatically open in the employee’s timecard.
  3. The Pending Changes panel displays the type of change that the employee has submitted — typically Punch or Paycode (including comments or transfers). Next to each type of change, the panel identifies the type of change — Added, Modified or Deleted.
  4. Select Approve or Refuse and select Apply.

Once a selection is made, the timecard will be saved, and you will no longer see any exceptions displayed in the timecard based on the employee requested changes.
