Editing a Misplaced Punch

If an employee forgets to record punch or works odd shifts, the punch may be posted to the next available slot.

There are two possible scenarios that can cause misplaced punches in an employee's timecard. Locate the scenario that best suits your situation, then follow the steps to correct the punches.

Scenario 1:  An employee forgets to punch in, the lunch out punch is recorded as the in-punch. Scenario 2:  If an employee works a different shift, the shift punches can fall into the wrong time slot.
